In a striking setting on a promontory above the town of Sierre, the Domaine du Clos du Château de Ravire estate is one of the region’s most special places.
Founded in 1954 by Etienne Savioz, this winery currently grows around 9 hectares of vines, all located around the castle.
Easily recognisable by its use of identical labels (regardless of the type of wine), Domaine du Clos du Château de Ravire offers a selection of more than 18 different grape varieties. The winery’s uniqueness – even if the claim is contested – lies in the fact that it is the only one in the world to bottle the famous “Vin des Glaciers”, the legendary wine of the Sierre region and the Val d’Anniviers.
With its magnificent castle, vineyards that are no less impressive and many wines to discover, Domaine du Clos du Château de Ravire is a place that is definitely worth a visit.
